Meditation Monday--Got Milk?

You wouldn't know this but I have a soft spot in my heart for cows. Maybe it because they have the soft, liquid brown eyes.  Maybe it's because they make soft, lowing sounds; or maybe it's because they are more than likely, intended for my dinner table, I don't know.  But probably it's because they are one of the few barnyard animals that didn't chase me and scare the crap out of me as a child.  You see my grandparents had a farm; now don't get any notions of a big John Deer bringing in the crops--they weren't that kind of farmer.  Their farm was more along the lines of a few animals were kept around for pets or for food.  They always had a few hogs (Mmm, pork chops), a multitude of chickens (yummy farm eggs), some goats (goat milk...sigh), and the odd spider monkey and crocodile.  What?  Not your idea of a farm animal?

Well anywho, it's Monday. It's time to take a second for yourself! So take a few deep breaths and find your inner calm--if necessary lock the kids in their closets. Enjoy!
Mmm...doesn't he look delicious?  Can you tell I haven't had breakfast yet?
I gotta wrap this post up and get something to eat....  Here little cow....
